Reaching out to Kenya and Ghana with 10,000 Focusspecs
Focus on Vision will distribute 10,000 Focusspecs in Kenya amont 11 - 15 year old and their parents or caretakers. Myopia is on eo f the main reasons for the high drop out factor among high school pupils. Vision guardians have been trained adequately to dispense the adjustable glasses. A well recognized Kenyan NGO will be coordinating this project.
In Ghana, in collaboration with Rotary Internation and a University Focus on Vision has screened thousands of cocoa farmers and their families. Cocoa farmers belong to the group of low earners. The project is executed rurally. Further funds are still needed.
